Children of the 2006 war...

There is heavy shelling outside, the woman panicked and ran off with their daughter. The man was frozen in a stare. He believed that they would be safer if they remained where they were, he still does. As the shelling got louder and he waited in the darkness alone, he wondered whether he had been right to be so stubborn. It all happened faster than he could react or think.

A war is a war, doesn't matter which year, it doesn't matter how old we are, what gender, which ethnicity, it doesn't. We freeze and slide into another state, the state of fear; the fear of death, the fear of pain, the fear of losing a dear one, the fear of becoming a handicap, the fear losing your hard-earned legacy and most of all the fear of the ugly unknown...

I was almost 8 years old when I slapped my pregnant mother on the face to wake her up, we were driving in between the Israeli bombs and through Sabra and Shatila massacre…

It just doesn’t matter…
