i dont pity pakistan, at least they have a united opposition fornt and men of honour like shudhery who stand to dictators and mobilize their own people it is our nation that i pity :(
Yes, lots of different united opposition fronts - all led by former dictators, or corrupt officials - that spend years in exile searching for a deal with the current dictator. I'm jealous.
Surely, it is our Nation that deserves to be pitied.. Or does it??.. I guess it depends on one's point of view whether or not we have brought it all onto ourselves!.. At any rate, Pakistan does not require oitying.. it is in a much healthier state than most Aeab countries, as Sasa and Alzaher noted..
Well that's me putting my foot in my mouth again. It just seemed depressing that their leadership choices were so poor...I guess there is more to it than meets the eye!

Hi all,
Sorry for my sarcasm! My point was to agree with Wassim. Maybe it wasn't too clear!
It's like the choice between Boutros Harb, Amin Gemayel and Michel Aoun.
What choice indeed.
Pity the nation with the figleaf of democracy. What can they fight for.
