...one other point. My life is now complete - today I bought my first multi-speed blender from Argos. Fruit juices, milk shakes and, most importantly, home made Hummus are part of the world of possibilities which has opened before me. Nobody talk to me for a few days - I'm going to be busy.

lucky you!
Wassim, I've actually enjoyed reading through your blog at the various posts...you're intelligent and you seem to be moderate in your views...not radical. It's a bit refreshing! Blessings to you and your family this holiday season! Hanukkah sameach!
Lech l'Shalom, Yehudi

Wassim,
I am impressed at your courage to actually try making hommous. I myself don't have a blender and even if I had one, I wouldn't try making hommous. But worth the try! It's much better than the hommous sold at Sainsbury's or Tesco's; seems like it is the Greek version of hommous and no tahineh at all! You know you need the tahineh mix for an authentic hommous right? I am sure you know.
Thanks Posh,
Yes, I'm well stocked up on Tahina, I went to Green valley earlier today and got a nice tub of it :)
Tahineh, garlic, chickpeas and yoghurt. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Hi Gardenia,
Thanks, I look forward to the change in lifestyle as I join the ranks of the successful and influential.
I second your emotion and IBJ's.
