Maysaloon - ميسلون

Apparently the French contingent in UNIFIL managed to prevent the Israeli army from digging in within the Lebanese borders at Marwahein. The Al Jazeera reporter cited this as the first time that UNIFIL forces have intercepted Israeli incursions into Lebanon, actually I think this is nothing more than a PR stunt in the hope of giving UNIFIL some credibility to the Lebanese, many of whom rightly understand the neo-colonial nature of this force. The French, and I'm sure some Lebanese in East Beirut, are probably salivating at the prospect of reviving the glorious French mandate in Lebanon.
