I have just recently been introduced to the fantastic literature of Ahmad Fouad Najm. [Thanks Sabour!]. This brilliant man is living in poverty in a slum in Egypt, penniless and harrassed by the Egyptian authorities for always speaking his mind. He famously stated that, "the whole of Egypt is one big prison." I will find more material for him and start posting it soon.
